It was fantastic to host my first Housing Summit at Medway Park, bringing local services together to support residents who need advice or help with housing.
Working in partnership with The Salvation Army Gillingham and sponsored by Persimmon Homes, the event gave residents the chance to speak directly with Medway Council teams, Citizens Advice, housing associations and local voluntary organisations — all in one place.
Alongside housing advice, people could also access confidential support on finances, employment and skills, wellbeing, and help for those facing difficult or unsafe living situations.
A big thank you to all the organisations who attended and supported local residents today.
