It was great to meet with Ruth Brock, CEO of The Hygiene Bank, to discuss their campaign to end hygiene poverty nationally. After visiting The Hygiene Bank Medway earlier this year, local volunteers highlighted that 4.2 million adults in the UK are living in hygiene poverty and cannot afford to stay clean. This is unacceptable and has to change. I look forward to working with the senior leadership team and local volunteers going forward to address this important issue.
