For the last couple of days, I’ve been at UKREiiF, focusing on the future of home building for Britain and discussing with various stakeholders how we can secure good quality homes in Gillingham and Rainham.
UKREiiF brings together 16,000+ professionals from national and local government, investors and developers – it’s the place where conversations start to drive investment and regeneration, and I’ve been pushing the case for Medway. As a member of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Select Committee, I’ve spoken on various panels including:
- Creating the next generation of ‘new towns’
- How the public sector will help deliver 1.5 million new homes
- Why we must go further to reform the rental market
I look forward to making these important discussions become a reality, both nationally and locally.
