Earlier this year, I submitted a formal proposal to national banking providers (LINK) about setting up a banking hub on Rainham High Street. This follows the recent shutting of the Natwest in July 2024, and many residents contacting me about the lack of banking facilities.
Today, I was glad to host LINK for a site visit on the high street. They will now conduct a criteria review to decide whether we can push ahead with development. I believe we have a good case for installing a banking hub, which will support local businesses and aid the regeneration of the high street. You can find out more about this visit through the following link.
