It was wonderful to visit Burnt Oak Primary, my old school, to congratulate all the students who took part in my Christmas Card Competition for 2024. Congratulations to Sham, Oyin and Lavin, who’s winning designs are up on display in the Speaker’s House. You really captured the theme of ‘Christmas in Westminster’.
The winning designs were sent out to hundreds of local organisations, businesses, charities, schools, GPs, and residents across Gillingham and Rainham to celebrate the festive period.
This is my first Christmas Card Competition, and I look forward to hosting more across lots of schools throughout Gillingham and Rainham in the future so that young people can learn about Parliament and have their designs feature in the heart of British democracy.
