Today I met with members of our Hong Kong diaspora community in Medway to listen to their concerns.
We discussed the current policy conversations around proposed changes to the earned settlement route, which differs from the BNO visa route many have used to build new lives and make a home here in our community.
While it’s clear that change within the system is needed, it must also be fair. That’s why I will be feeding into the consultation process to ensure the concerns raised with me today are heard and properly represented.
