In today’s Housing, Communities and Local Government questions I asked the Minister if he would meet with me to discuss our local campaign to save The Flying Saucer Pub in Hempstead.
Friends of the Flying Saucer have been working tirelessly to bring this asset of community value back into local hands, so that it can once again operate as a vital local resource. I was pleased to hear that the Minister committed to supporting the campaign, and will meet with me to discuss more broader challenges around the reclaiming of assets of community value.
This Government is enabling communities across Britain to take ownership of valuable local assets, putting residents back at the heart of key decisions in their towns. You can watch this question in full through the following link.
